Hi Thank you for visiting my blog. My name is Sue and I live with my lovely husband who I will call Mr V and our nine year old daughter Miss V in a small town in South Devon. Everyone who lives here talks about it as The Village so that will be my blog name- Vintage fron the Village Also in our family are two cats, two guinea pigs some tropical fish and a pond with goldfish I have always loved making things and love pretty vintage things which I hope to sell as well to fund my passion! I am addicted to buying fabric, ribbons, buttons, wool etc and love to visit charity shops and car boot sales.I love glasses of wine, gardening, crochet (easy stuff!) and I am a big E-Bay fan ! I also love to read other people's blogs which inspired me to start my own. I look foward to hearing from you Best wishes Sue

Lovelies revealed !

Hi All
I hope you have had a good weekend.
We have been busy, on Saturday Miss V and I went with some friends to the theatre to see the stage show of Horrible Science which was good fun, lots of 3D effects which the kids loved especially of germs and poo flying at us   mmm nice !
Yesterday we went to Killerton House near Exeter which is a National Trust house and lovely gardens.
There was a classic car show on in the grounds. I felt a bit old as a lot of them were cars I remember our family had when I was a child  such as Hilman Hunter, Triumph Herald and Austin Princess. I suppose it was classic cars not vintage so could have been worse !
The place was lovely, even though Miss V said the best bit was the bouncy castle :(
Today we just went up to the back of 'the Village' to the edge of Dartmoor where we had a thermos of tea in a bit of sunshine.
Anyway back to the subject of the post- on Friday my lovely swap parcel from Viv at Pooh's Abode arrived. It was very exciting as it was my first ever swap.

First was a pretty hand made cardHere are all the parcels wrapped in tissue

Now then, look at these lovelies - a fabric book mark, some fab heart bias binding, a levender heart which smells lovely, lots of ribbons from Patch, lots of buttons in great colurs, some reels of sewing thread - Cath Kidston no less !

A pretty notebbok and pencil and some great fabrics, just my thing thank you !
Miss V, straight away took a shine to the cup cake fabric - oy hands off its mine
So didn't I do well. Many thanks indeed to Viv . Yours is ready to go, sorry for the dalay !!

Off to Barnstaple tomorrow to see my Mum In Law and a trip to our favourite chinese restaurant I think

Best wishes
Sue x
