Hi Thank you for visiting my blog. My name is Sue and I live with my lovely husband who I will call Mr V and our nine year old daughter Miss V in a small town in South Devon. Everyone who lives here talks about it as The Village so that will be my blog name- Vintage fron the Village Also in our family are two cats, two guinea pigs some tropical fish and a pond with goldfish I have always loved making things and love pretty vintage things which I hope to sell as well to fund my passion! I am addicted to buying fabric, ribbons, buttons, wool etc and love to visit charity shops and car boot sales.I love glasses of wine, gardening, crochet (easy stuff!) and I am a big E-Bay fan ! I also love to read other people's blogs which inspired me to start my own. I look foward to hearing from you Best wishes Sue

Can I walk past a charity shop without going in test ....

Before I get on to that subject, here are a few more things I have been making. Chicken themed lavender bags and a couple of small fabric gift bags. I  MUST get round to doing some Etsy listing today.
Anyway at the weekend I spent hours sorting out my Ebay stock and all my fabric and trying to sort it out a bit such as
To be listed- photos already taken
To be listed -photos still to be taken
Already listed
Fabric stash
I am a bit more organised in my head but the piles dont look much different and the piles are far too high !
When I woke up in the night thinking about it I made a promise to myself that until 'my piles' have gone down a bit I wont go in the local charity shops and buy any more (car boot sales allowed as they are much cheaper)
So off I went to the Post Office with my parcels this morning, we have 3 charity shops in our town  village
The first one was still closed anyway
I just couldn't resist the other two - I came home with a bag of green felt offcuts, a tiny French sweet tin and a pair of Papaya trousers to sell.
Help- is there a charity shop addicts society anywhere !!  My test failed but good fun

Have a good day
Sue x

  1. If you find that society let me know 'cos I'll be joining along with you.

  2. Hello Sue, its always nice meet new blog friends.
    Love your hens!

    Clare x

  3. I always pop into the CS's - never know what bargains lurk there ;)

BTW re. your comment on my post - nearest Tesco is 25 miles away - a tad far for a reel of thread!! Heyho I'll get one in town tomorrow.

  4. I'm just like you, Sue - cannot walk past a charity shop without some invisible wire drawing me inside!!

  5. It just has to be done! Charity shop scanning! x
