Hi Thank you for visiting my blog. My name is Sue and I live with my lovely husband who I will call Mr V and our nine year old daughter Miss V in a small town in South Devon. Everyone who lives here talks about it as The Village so that will be my blog name- Vintage fron the Village Also in our family are two cats, two guinea pigs some tropical fish and a pond with goldfish I have always loved making things and love pretty vintage things which I hope to sell as well to fund my passion! I am addicted to buying fabric, ribbons, buttons, wool etc and love to visit charity shops and car boot sales.I love glasses of wine, gardening, crochet (easy stuff!) and I am a big E-Bay fan ! I also love to read other people's blogs which inspired me to start my own. I look foward to hearing from you Best wishes Sue

Full time at home a bit longer ! and give away on Sunday

Hi All
Bit sad this end as I have just been for an interview for a dinner lady mealtime assistant at Miss V's school and I didn't get it ! people with more experience working with children applied.
Oh well never mind, I just thought it would be a tiny bit of regular money coming in and the hours would have suited my crafting and ebaying perfectly.
Never mind - more time blogging with you crowd ey !

I will draw the giveaway for a small package of my craft goodies from my previous post  'All is revealed  and a giveaway'   on Sunday to give everyone a chance
All comments on that post will go in to the 'hat'

Off to a fashion show tonight run by 'Off the Peg' do you know them? its all brand names with the labels defaced - great fun, very cheap  and a glass of wine :)
Have a great weekend
Sue x

  3. Hi - your post just popped up and I had too pop over to offer you a big virtual (((hug))) - I know something good will turn up for you.

I'm looking at part-time jobs as well - sooo much competition for even the smallest of jobs -

Anyway glad to have you here - have a lovely weekend

  4. Don't get me started on the applying for jobs front Hun! Rubbish isn't it?! Lets just eat some chocolate and drink some vino eh?! xxx

  5. I love your blog from the Village. Something will turn up for you - it always does. Take care xx

  6. Hi Sue

Not sure if I have already contacted you or not but we are swap partners for the fabric swap. Not sure how to get in touch with you as you have no email link on your profile. I think my email address is on my profile so maybe you could email me

  7. hi Sue- re your postage question;
I always take my packages to the PO as I have a particularly nice office nearby and I know they appreciate the business (fear of more rural closures).
I have friends who do the postage on line and you don't need a certain volume or anything.
Please don't hesitate to ask again if you have any other questions, I'm only too happy to help

  8. Hi Sue, being a dinner lady is tough so something else will come along that you will like better I'm sure.
    Good luck xx
