Hi Thank you for visiting my blog. My name is Sue and I live with my lovely husband who I will call Mr V and our nine year old daughter Miss V in a small town in South Devon. Everyone who lives here talks about it as The Village so that will be my blog name- Vintage fron the Village Also in our family are two cats, two guinea pigs some tropical fish and a pond with goldfish I have always loved making things and love pretty vintage things which I hope to sell as well to fund my passion! I am addicted to buying fabric, ribbons, buttons, wool etc and love to visit charity shops and car boot sales.I love glasses of wine, gardening, crochet (easy stuff!) and I am a big E-Bay fan ! I also love to read other people's blogs which inspired me to start my own. I look foward to hearing from you Best wishes Sue

Anyone been to a Jamie Oliver party?

Thats where I am off to tonight - not been to one before.
Hope its not too expensive as Miss J and I have been shopping in Plymouth today.
Two pairs of per una Roma fit jeans (love them and they are nice and high in the waist for an old girl like me!!)
School shoes for Miss V - do you remember me telling you the saga before back to school of the £5 Peacocks school shoes?
Well- they were looking scruffy by two weeks and how they managed to get to half term I do not know. Sure they would have leaked if we had any rain.
Had terrible trouble finding anything suitable today - even in Clarks. She is a size 3 now (even though only just 8) only one pair she liked and they didn't fit very well.
We ended up in Stead and Simpson and got a pair thank goodness. £15 so a sort of halfway house price wise - will they last until Christmas???
They came in a funny narrow box- I dont think we better fill that one for the Samaritan's Purse or the poor kid will feel a bit cheated !

Anyway I better get the tea on - will let you know how the Jamie cookware party goes

Enjoy your evening, must remember to record Nigella

  1. hi sue i've not been to a jamie party so can't offer any advice there just wanted to say thanks for the heads up on the roma jeans as i'm struggling to find any high waisted ones that fit nicely so will give them a try!!!
we did the fashion shoes once and they didn't last so it was back to our old fashioned shoe shop for either clarks or startrite, all three of mine have a g or h fitting and have a choice of about one shoe so thats what they get, poor old tomas has had the same style of shoe three times running as they are the only ones that fit well!!!!

have fun this evening and i hope there some food...(like pampered chef parties!!!)

    tracy
