Hi Thank you for visiting my blog. My name is Sue and I live with my lovely husband who I will call Mr V and our nine year old daughter Miss V in a small town in South Devon. Everyone who lives here talks about it as The Village so that will be my blog name- Vintage fron the Village Also in our family are two cats, two guinea pigs some tropical fish and a pond with goldfish I have always loved making things and love pretty vintage things which I hope to sell as well to fund my passion! I am addicted to buying fabric, ribbons, buttons, wool etc and love to visit charity shops and car boot sales.I love glasses of wine, gardening, crochet (easy stuff!) and I am a big E-Bay fan ! I also love to read other people's blogs which inspired me to start my own. I look foward to hearing from you Best wishes Sue

I have gone dotty already !

Good afternoon to you, well thats the first day of the school holidays well underway. Normally Miss V doesn't really want to get up in the mornings but today she was raring to go at 7.20 - typical !
So as planned (but a bit earlier) we set off to Plymouth , on the bus for a change making it a bit more of an adventure.
Did a bit of shopping for Miss V - new trainers and flip flops. The flip flops were only £1 in Primark so I splashed out and got the trainers in good old Clarks, I do find they look good longer than cheapos and I normally get a few pounds for them afterwards on Ebay !!
Had a sandwich and drink in M&S , then got the bus home. 5 mins peace now while she is out playing with a friend  phew !

By the way the dotty bit is a lovely bag I bought in a lovely shop in Totnes called Gazebo, I thought we could keep some of our beach stuff in it. Looks a bit Cath I thought !

Talking of Cath, I made a cushion for my Lloyd Loom chair this week and while I was doing that I realised I have several matching items

My lovely radio, a knitting bag and a sewing basket, the floppy thing that looks like a bag is a cover for my door stop I made as well.
A new magazine I ordered arrived today  Vintage Life nostalgia magazine

I saw it on the internet somewhere so ordered one to see what its like, looks fab and I cant wait to have a proper look. I may get a subscription if its any good.
Has anyone else read it ?

Did anyone see Dragons Den this week and that great idea of vintage tea parties called Vintage Patisserie, she was great and I am pleased she got some money.
Well I better get on with some stuff, I have to go to a dancing club party with Miss V tonight miles away and I dont know where I am going and I
(in a stroppy voice) DO NOT WANT TO GO !
I want to stay at home with a bottle of wine
Oh well - perhaps I could take my new magazine and read it under the table
Have a great weekend
Sue x
