Hi Thank you for visiting my blog. My name is Sue and I live with my lovely husband who I will call Mr V and our nine year old daughter Miss V in a small town in South Devon. Everyone who lives here talks about it as The Village so that will be my blog name- Vintage fron the Village Also in our family are two cats, two guinea pigs some tropical fish and a pond with goldfish I have always loved making things and love pretty vintage things which I hope to sell as well to fund my passion! I am addicted to buying fabric, ribbons, buttons, wool etc and love to visit charity shops and car boot sales.I love glasses of wine, gardening, crochet (easy stuff!) and I am a big E-Bay fan ! I also love to read other people's blogs which inspired me to start my own. I look foward to hearing from you Best wishes Sue

Table tops galore !

Hello , I hope everybody had a good weekend, I did -
First I went to a local WI table top sale in 'the village'
I snapped up this Hovis toast rack which I was very pleased but when I got home and washed it I realise it has been broken and glued back together- more haste less speed next time !

Not much else bought
there really apart from a jar of marmalade and a yummy fruit cake.
Next I went to an Easter Fair at our local donkey sanctuary but shock horror - no bric a brac table :(
I did buy two little geranium plants (rabbit just added to make photo pretty- he lives on my kitchen window sil)
Next home for lunch, then drove down to Plymouth to meet my friend Debbie who I worked with until recently for another table top sale. We waited outside in the rain before we were let loose at 2pm. She is just starting out making candles and was after some pots etc
This was a bit more sucessfull - I bought a great red ginham tablecloth with chickens on, now washed but too crumpled for photo yet.
A jigsaw puzzle which I have forgotten to photo but I will do as it has a great pic on it - I will be selling that on hopefully.
Some lace and a few books , one of which is an old one called - Radiant Health
the photo of lady shopping at the top is from it and there are some great ones which I will share with you gradually !
We had a hot chocolate in Morrisons cafe and caught up with the gossip then home for a lovely meal in the evening cooked by Mr V.  Lovely.
Back soon with more, enjoy the rest of your day
Sue x
