Hi Thank you for visiting my blog. My name is Sue and I live with my lovely husband who I will call Mr V and our nine year old daughter Miss V in a small town in South Devon. Everyone who lives here talks about it as The Village so that will be my blog name- Vintage fron the Village Also in our family are two cats, two guinea pigs some tropical fish and a pond with goldfish I have always loved making things and love pretty vintage things which I hope to sell as well to fund my passion! I am addicted to buying fabric, ribbons, buttons, wool etc and love to visit charity shops and car boot sales.I love glasses of wine, gardening, crochet (easy stuff!) and I am a big E-Bay fan ! I also love to read other people's blogs which inspired me to start my own. I look foward to hearing from you Best wishes Sue

I have a pen-friend !

Hiya

Sorry no pics or anything fancy in this quick post,  today I my first letter from my new pen friend came flying through the letter box onto the mat
Luckily it is non-pupil day at school today so I had just sat down to a fairly leisurely breakfast so perfect timing
It was from the lovely Marina at www.evelynmayvintage.blogspot.co.uk as you may have seen she has organised a great pen friend idea
We seem to have loads in common so I am really looking forward to it all. We were away last week so I have only had chance to send a quick card so far but I will be writing a proper letter very soon.

By the way the last few weeks I have been plagued by spam comments on my blog which were taking ages to delete and reject so I am afraid I have had to turn on the horrid word verification thingy for a while, I know its a pain so hopefully I will try and take it off again sometime.

Have a good week - it is very cold here in Devon but its so much better than all the rain

Best wishes
Sue x

  1. I've got a new penfriend too, and I'm looking forward to receiving my first letter so I can blog about it. If you go to the comments moderation page it is possible to block comments from "anonymous" posters, that's what I've done on mine when I had a similar problem, they are a real pain, aren't they?
