Hi Thank you for visiting my blog. My name is Sue and I live with my lovely husband who I will call Mr V and our nine year old daughter Miss V in a small town in South Devon. Everyone who lives here talks about it as The Village so that will be my blog name- Vintage fron the Village Also in our family are two cats, two guinea pigs some tropical fish and a pond with goldfish I have always loved making things and love pretty vintage things which I hope to sell as well to fund my passion! I am addicted to buying fabric, ribbons, buttons, wool etc and love to visit charity shops and car boot sales.I love glasses of wine, gardening, crochet (easy stuff!) and I am a big E-Bay fan ! I also love to read other people's blogs which inspired me to start my own. I look foward to hearing from you Best wishes Sue

I missed the boat !

Good evening everyone, all dressed up and nowhere to go ? !
No its not me, its a crochet pattern for a granny square skirt I will be listing on Ebay soon.
Anyway, I do have nowhere to go - it is my 9th wedding anniversary (yes I was quite old when I married Mr V !) today. Its a shame but he is away on a work course, never mind.
I have bought a lovely magazine

I was rather shocked at the price (dont tell Mr V!)but I will see what its like and it does come with some wool, so when I finally get Miss V to bed I may have a glass of Pimms and have a look .
My mum in law sent us some lovely things from M&S

Mmm shame I better save some for the husband!

I nearly forgot to explain what the post title meant, I was hoping to order the Cath Kidston boat bath mat but I was too late and it was sold out - oh no
We live goodness knows how many miles from the nearest CK shop so if anyone happens to be passing one and it is still in stock there, could they grab me one and I will pay you back and for the postage  !!
Anyway, better get Miss V in the bath so I can get crocheting !
Enjoy your evening
Sue xx

  1. Happy anniversary!!
Why don't you crochet yourself that skirt ready for celebrating your 10th anniversary next year?
I've never seen that crochet magazine, I'll have to look out for it and give it a go.

  8. Hello Sue. Congratulations on your wedding anniversary. I agree with Carole - the hamper does look very more-ish. I am very impressed with the craft handiwork of other people - bit of a gardening fanatic myself, but would love to have time to do crafty things as well.
