Another crochet necklace from girlybunches I love these and this is my third one. Specially ordered colours to go with my new top
Some pretty floral gift tags and needle case from Gill at the Vintage Gardener
Some more parcel wrapping tape from Dots and Spots I cant go back to using brown tape now I'm hooked on this !
A crochet pattern booklet now listed on my Ebay along with more unusual crochet patterns and lots of Nintendo DS games I am selling to raise some money for Miss V to spend when she goes on a trip to London soon
Todays charity shop finds - A white tunic thing made from a sheet to put away for school dressing up days Christmas plays etc. I made one when Miss V needed an angel costume years ago and she has just outgrown it. So a very useful find for 50p
A pair of unused blackout curtain linings. We take these when we go to caravans as the curtains are always so thin. No - I am not so sad as to fit them properly, we just sort of pin them up with clothes pegs
A brand new duvet cover from Debenhams with £35 price label on the packet. I paid £1.50
Miss V may like it or it will be destined for Ebay
And last but certainly not least - I won the giveaway from Mary Poppins
Sorry the picture is sideways again ! A lovely Rosie Flo fashion show play set and one of her pretty hearts
Thank you Mary
Well I had better go and do some bits, Miss V has her school disco tonight and I am helping with the PTA
(must be mad, as if I dont see enough of them all at lunch times!!)
Enjoy the sunshine

Didn't we have a lovely time the day we went to .........
Sorry the pictures are sideways, not a good start ! They were rotated before I uploaded them ?
Have a lie down and they will look ok
Mr V and Miss V were booked in to have a surfing lesson at a lovely beach near here in the South Hams called Bigbury
You may of heard of Burgh Island where there is a famous art deco hotel
Off they went for a two hour lesson. I was very very windy but they got on well. I watched for a bit and occupied myself on the beach quite happily with this selection
I quite fancy getting one of these flats (mmm where is that lottery ticket)
After that we went home rather wind battered for roast chicken and a bottle of wine of course
Back soon with another post

Morning has broken, blackbird has spoken..........
Well Hello at last
Where have the last few weeks gone (again) I thought it was a couple of weeks since I posted but it looks like almost a month!
We had a weekend in Liverpool with some friends who live there which was very nice. Got a good deal at a Premier Inn , did a ferry across the Mersey etc
Then it was Easter weekend - didn't feel very Eastery this year as it was so late and all the daffodils and even the tulips were long gone and the weather was more like July ! Anyway very nice.
Then of course it was the wedding weekend - I watched every bit from 8am and loved it all.
Mr V went off for a walk on Dartmoor to escape
Anyway back to the subject, our neighbours had already told us there was a blackbirds nest in the honeysuckle bush on our dividing fence but yesterday morning I was woken up very early to tiny cheeping sounds. Then all day the Daddy blackbird was back and foward with worms and things so I think the eggs must have hatched. You ought to have heard all the noise ! You can see him on the decking in the top photo.
While I had the camera out I thought I would show you a few photos of my kitchen windowsill !
(If any of my 'normal' friends are reading - look away now or you think I am mad !)
This windowsill started as a bit of a little display area for bits as I havn't got a dresser and when Miss V was little it was the only place she couldn't reach. It has carried on from there and changes week by week depending on what I find
A lovely alium flower from my garden, I have lots of these, they look so nice against the green of the garden plants but also looks good in the old blue bottle I think. It was in the lounge but Mr V kept saying it had a strange smell so it been banished to my space !
My herb pots I had for my birthday - doing well so far but the pots dont have drainage holes so not sure if they will be very long term
Well its good to back, I have been reading everyone's posts but now I have gor round to writing one thank goodness.
I have lots of cross stitch and tapestry kits on my Ebay here if you are interested including a lovely Ehrman one
