Hi Thank you for visiting my blog. My name is Sue and I live with my lovely husband who I will call Mr V and our nine year old daughter Miss V in a small town in South Devon. Everyone who lives here talks about it as The Village so that will be my blog name- Vintage fron the Village Also in our family are two cats, two guinea pigs some tropical fish and a pond with goldfish I have always loved making things and love pretty vintage things which I hope to sell as well to fund my passion! I am addicted to buying fabric, ribbons, buttons, wool etc and love to visit charity shops and car boot sales.I love glasses of wine, gardening, crochet (easy stuff!) and I am a big E-Bay fan ! I also love to read other people's blogs which inspired me to start my own. I look foward to hearing from you Best wishes Sue

Hi long time no post !

Hello again, I just realised it's over a week since my last post. What do you mean you didn't notice !!??
Anyway here I am, I hope you all had a good weekend. I did. On Saturday I had a stall at quite a big school fair Dame Hannah is a local school for phsically disabled children. It was a perfect summer day, I shared my space with my friend Debbie who I used to work with who has just started making candles. Luckily she took her gazebo which gave us some shade. We had a good time and a tin of Pimms and lemonade added to the day! and I got some crochet done too -lovely
I took some photos but they are on my phone and I cant find my notes to say how to get them on to the computer so I will show you another day.

Yesterday it was the Mega-Ride which is a charity motor bike ride held once a year. We went to watch and stood on the bridge over the dual carriageway and waved at them all, there are thousands of them so it was good arm exercise and a lovely atmosphere.

I have another school fair this Friday so my stock is spread along the landing until then, after which I will list lots more on ebay and Etsy. Today I finally got around to listing some of my Thank you Teacher lavender bags which I make each year.

Also last week I took delivery of a lovely package from Mary Poppins. We arranged to swap some spare ribbons and she sent me the most lovely selection of things and was so generous

I am so pleased  thank you

I also won a big bag full of cotton lace and ric rac ribbons on Ebay which was great so I will have to get making now !
Well I better get some lunch, I have to go to Plymouth this afternoon for a hospital appointment. Nothing very interesting, just a 6 monthly check up but its a pain parking etc.
Anyway, have a good week ,  Mr V has a day off on Thursday so we will be going somewhere for a look around I expect.

  6. I second Annie with those lavender bags, what a great idea if I had children still at school I would definately be placing an order, sadly mine are all grown up. Good luck with selling them.

  7. Hello! Thanks for popping over. I love the photos of your pets and those lavender bags are just fabulous! I bet my teacher friends would much prefer those pretties to some of the strange gifts they receive from pupils!
