Well Hello at last and a belated Happy New Year !
It's almost February already and I have been neglecting blog writing but still reading them most days. Anyway must try harder this year !
At the end of the Christmas holidays we had a few hours on one of our lovely local beaches Bigbury in South Devon.
It was very windy and cold but it blew the cobwebs away and we sat in the car after with a lovely hot chocolate
I went for a paddle in my wellies
Back home for a cup of tea and something tasty from the new set of tins I had for Christmas
I love these tins and saw them in the autumn so put them on my Christmas list
I sneakily bought Miss V to give to Mr V another lovely Emma Bridgewater mug for our collection. They are quite expensive to buy for no reason so this is my sneaky way of getting them! he he
We are going to the Emma Bridgewater pottery painting centre soon and I hope there will be a shop there as I still have a little bit of Christmas money left to spend
Well I am going to have to go as Miss V will be home from school in a minute and it is hammering down with hail or sleet or something out there.
I will put the heating and candles on and look foward to a cosy Friday night with curry and wine later mmmm
Have a great weekend

I really, really love Bigbury, having been there several times when the lads were young. We walked across to Burgh Island and dreamed of the time we could afford to stay in the hotel (at £400 per person per night it wont be anytime soon). Happy New Year
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year to you too! Better late than never.
