Hi Thank you for visiting my blog. My name is Sue and I live with my lovely husband who I will call Mr V and our nine year old daughter Miss V in a small town in South Devon. Everyone who lives here talks about it as The Village so that will be my blog name- Vintage fron the Village Also in our family are two cats, two guinea pigs some tropical fish and a pond with goldfish I have always loved making things and love pretty vintage things which I hope to sell as well to fund my passion! I am addicted to buying fabric, ribbons, buttons, wool etc and love to visit charity shops and car boot sales.I love glasses of wine, gardening, crochet (easy stuff!) and I am a big E-Bay fan ! I also love to read other people's blogs which inspired me to start my own. I look foward to hearing from you Best wishes Sue

Are you an old bag - or not ?

Hi Just a quick post before the weekend, the week seems to have gone so fast. Mr V has had two days off so have been swanning around rather a lot !
What do you think of this bag I got last week in a charity shop ? Looks a bit Cath but I am sure its not as the lining is a bit nylony. Probably came from Primark as is new but I like it !

I may just use it tonight when it is the next 'Come Dine With Me' meal at my good friend Leah's house. It's such a relief now mine is done and I can look foward to the other six meals !
I am saying the night at my Mums as it near to where she lives and I can get lifts easily, so I will be packing my bag in a minute for a night in a lovely clean tidy peacefull house, shame I will be probably a bit too sozzled to appreciate it !!

The crochet patterns are selling well, there are some still going so hop on over to Ebay  Stirfry148 if you like.
Just got lots more knitting patterns and needles so I will make a start on them next week. IF anyone wants any particular size of crochet hook or knitting needles, do get in touch and I will happily do a little swap or something.

Anyway I better go, if I can get sorted here,  there is a school fair later I may be able to drop in to and raid the bric a brac stall on the way to my Mums

Have a great weekend
Sue  xx

  1. Hi *waves from Dorset*, the bag IS from Primark as I bought one a couple of years ago with the intention of taking it apart and using it as a pattern. Suffice to say I took it apart and there ends the story! xx
