Hi Thank you for visiting my blog. My name is Sue and I live with my lovely husband who I will call Mr V and our nine year old daughter Miss V in a small town in South Devon. Everyone who lives here talks about it as The Village so that will be my blog name- Vintage fron the Village Also in our family are two cats, two guinea pigs some tropical fish and a pond with goldfish I have always loved making things and love pretty vintage things which I hope to sell as well to fund my passion! I am addicted to buying fabric, ribbons, buttons, wool etc and love to visit charity shops and car boot sales.I love glasses of wine, gardening, crochet (easy stuff!) and I am a big E-Bay fan ! I also love to read other people's blogs which inspired me to start my own. I look foward to hearing from you Best wishes Sue

Long time - no blog !

Hi All

Here I am again, seems ages since I wrote a post myself but I have been reading others.

Well school breaks up today- I have just done my last MTA shift at the school for the year. I have been offered a slightly more permanent post one to one with a boy with health problems in the new year. It will be a challenge as I have always worked in shops or offices.

Miss V went off this morning with one of my hand made key ringds for her teacher
I hope she likes it !

I have come down with some sort of lurgy, I had lots to do today but havn't done much at all.
I was supposed to be meeting up with my 'Come Dine With Me' friends last night for our annual present swapping but I had to pull out - oh no
I must be ill because I had to go the 'village' yesterday to post the last of my Ebay parcels and I couldn't even face going into the charity shops !!!!!!!!!

Anyway, cards are written at last, most of the presents are wrapped. I still have to make some chutney. I made it last year , the recipe was from last year's Kirsty's home made home and it was really nice.

We are off to the panto in Plymouth on Sunday so looking foward to that  - oh yes we are !

I will try and do another post before the big day but if I dont,  I wish you all the happiest Christmas ever and thank you so much following by blog.

Love Sue x

Can I do cold turkey?

Well hello again
Hoping everone had a good weekend.
Friday night saw us in the pouring rain watching the switch on of the Ivybridge 'village' Christmas lights. Couldn't believe the rain after weeks of crisp dry weather ! Anyway Miss V was 'marching' with the Brownies so once the grand switch on had happened we grabbed an Indian takeaway and headed home for a bottle of wine !

On Saturday it was the school Christmas fair, I was selling raffle tickets.
Wasn't too busy at all as most parents had bought them in advance. Much easier than last year when I was on the cake stall single handedly and it was MANIC !
Even managed to get a few 'vintage' books which I will show you sometime

Anyway back to the cold turkey subject - I have reluctantly started running down my Ebay selling for Christmas. I am itching not to as its a great selling time of year obviously but I am getting behind with everything else so the last items are ending over the next few days.

find my Ebay here if you fancy anything !
Its sooooo hard for me sat here surrounded by stuff.
I have been still MTA at school every day so thats good but another reason I am getting Christmas stress even though I love this time of year.

Must be off to watch  Kirsty and Phil's Christmas- not seen the lovely Phil for a while !!

Enjoy your evening

Sue  x
